Sarah Kay with Puppy Card

Well better late than never. Had a busy weekend (it seems to have flown by) i finally finished a card. The image is by Sarah Kay coloured with copic markers and shaded with prisma pencils (i love the effect this gives)
The papers are from Nitwits (digi download). The cardstock is from Stampin up. The gorgeous flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I also used some Stampin Up Red taffetta ribbon. I made the tag myself and added a Fizzy Moon sentiment.
I need to practice with my camera i think my cards always look wonky !!!!! It is straight in the flesh !!!

Well off to bed as i have to be up for work tomorrow :(

Hanglar ' Sailor Boy '

Good Afternoon, i just thought i would show you the Hanglar card i made with the New 'Sailor Kids' Kit. Anyone who knows me knows what a Hanglar & Stanglar addict i am !!! The image is coloured with copic markers and shaded with a black Prisma pencil. The papers are a digi download from Nitwit Papers. The cardstock is from DCWV. The stars were punched from the SU star punch. The ribbon is from SU and is Daffodil Delight (such a gorgeous colour) The buttons are also Daffodil Delight from SU. I added som twine to the centres. The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley mounted onto a SU scallop.

I have also decorated the inside to compliment the outside.

Also im overjoyed i won some blog candy over at Lisa's blog ' Krafty Kutz'. Thanks ever so much Lisa cant wait to recieve my goodies.

Flower Daisies

OMG ive been such a bad blogger lately, ive been so busy with work and finishing the house i haven't had many crafty days

I attended my SU mum Jules's craft class last night where we made these fab cards/box. The products used are from the New Stampin Up mini catalogue. The daisies were cut from a Bigz Die. We also used the Vintage Wallpaper (my favourite) and Perfect Polkadots embossing folders which are exclusive to Stampin Up. The colours are Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Pretty in Pink and a Shimmery White Cardstock. The little gift box is cut from the Pillow Box die and decorated with daisies and Pretty in Pink Satin ribbon.

I will try to keep up with my blog and not be so naughty !!!!

Christmas Cards in January !

No i havent started early with my 2011 Christmas cards ! With work and going to Portugal for Christmas i forgot to showcase my cards. This card is an easel card and features a gorgeous Hanglar image (im addicted to them !). The image is coloured with copic markers. The papers are ' Jolly Holiday' by Stampin Up. The card stock is Cherry cobbler and Old Olive also by Stampin Up. The flowers are from Orchid Crafts. The christmas sentiment at the bottom is from a Stampin Up stamp set called Heard from the Heart, i just love this sentiment set. I also used a Su Scallop trim border punch.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEGAN

Good morning, just a short post today to wish my daughter MEGAN a very happy 17th birthday
today. Pictured is a very special birthday pressie which was custom made to my specification by my wonderful friend Maddy Hill (madimaginations). The fimo dolly is gorgeous and came with a decorated box and she is holding a little cupcake (megans favourite) and a teddy just like the one megan had as a baby (she still has it, in her wardrobe). The card is a Magnolia and also came with a decorated envelope box. Maddy is a whizz with the fimo and her creations have such attention to detail. Thanks so much Maddy.Well off to find a birthday cake, and to book a meal for tonight.

Happy Hanglar Christmas

I decided to make an easel card today, Im now wondering why it took me so long I absolutely love them. I used one of my new Hanglar stamps I just adore these sweeties. She is coloured using Copic Markers. The cardstock is by SU and is Pink Pirouette the ribbon is also by SU. The sentiment is by SU but retired some years ago. I used paper flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and added some Prima Say it in Pearls. The papers are by Bo Bunny which ive had for a while. I decorated the middle of the card, this is a really good idea i got from Rach's blog.

Christmas 'Sneaky Tilda' Card

Good afternoon, its been ages since ive been in the land of blog, more the land of nod these days !
This card was made using a Magnolia Image and is coloured with copic markers. The papers are Basic Grey ' Jovial ' and are stunning. I distressed the edges of the paper with my SU paper distresser. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and i added some glimmer mist (which isnt showing up) the leaves are punched from an L- em punch and i also added a pearl pin. The bling is by Prima. The shiny red ribbon is by SU.

Tonight is pirate night at Jules, so got to make a couple of eye patches (compulsory) to wear for me and my wonderful friend Vicky, so see you later Mi hearties

Saturday Craft Class

Good morning, i attended the all day craft class run by my SU mum Jules on saturday. I made these wonderful items above. A box which fits 3 cards and a great little gift handbag. I had a fab day and met many of Julies Jems. We had a good laugh at our table (Vicky, Jane, Sarah, Sara, me and Karen) we even earned the title of the naughty table ! No idea how Jules came to that idea !!!!! We enjoyed ourselves so much that we were the last table to tidy up and if we could have stayed all night we would have.
Anyway got to go and get ready, today is my university graduation day, im just hoping i dont trip up the stairs when i have to go on stage, sensible footwear i think is called for.

Stampin Up Training Day

Today i went to Jules's house for some stampin up training. We discussed the new colours, and had a general laugh and a chat and a lovely lunch. It was lovely to meet some of the other ladies that make up our team of Julies Jems.
We had to make 5 little gifts for each person who attended the training so i made these cute little post it note holders. The Rich Razzleberry/Cottage Wall one i made for Jules as i know she loves these colours. Although you cant see the post it notes, i went to the trouble of matching them to the SU colours ! Yes, very sad i know. The other holders were made from the Sunny Days Scrappin Kit.

Vintage Vogue ' Chocolate Boxes'

Good morning, hope your all well. Many apologies as i havent blogged in a while, i seem to have misplaced my mojo.

Its a bit of a sad time at work at the moment as all the temporary staff (including me) are leaving and moving on to pastures new. A few of us went out for a meal on Friday night to Brasserie Blanc in Leeds, the food was divine. I bought a little box of chocolates for the first two leavers and made some little boxes to put them in. The one above was for Wendy.

And this one was for Beverley. I used the SU Vintage Vogue stamp set (which is my fave at the moment. I just altered the colours for a different look. I really enjoyed making the boxes and have about 12 more to go !

Im so glad that i became a Stampin Up demonstrator. Yesterday we were able to get our hands on these fab new items;

These are 3 of the new Cardstock colours, they are Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suede.

Also 3 yummy new ink pads to match the cardstock.

Then to spoil us even more matching polkadot ribbon, which is absolutley gorgeous.

Bella Rose meets CC Designs

Hello, sorry ive not blogged for a while, i havent had much time over the last few weeks. As my contract ends in July for my current job, i have job hunting. I applied for a job a few weeks ago and i got a phone call last week to say i got it, so ive had to go for blood tests and health checks. S0 hopefully by June i will be a theatre nurse looking after patients whilst they are having their operations.
On to my card, ive just discovered the lovely range of CC designs stamps, they are super cute and so easy to colour. For this card i had my first attempt at paper piercing her dress and i must say im addicted and will definately be trying this technique again. Well im off to make a cuppa as in on two weeks holiday from work, so i feel a little crafty time is required.

Happy Cupcake Birthday

Hello, hope your all well. I have a bad cold and a barking cough at the moment so im not feeling too spritely. We had a great weekend in York, and did lots of sightseeing. Jack was really dissapointed as the Jorvik Centre was closed for refurbishing so he didnt get to see the Vikings. I have made this card for a friend at work who will be celebrating her birthday this weekend. Its quite a simple card but i just love these colours and think they work very well together. I also did a little bit of paper piercing around the top and scalloped the bottom edge of the plain cardstock.

Butterfly Tilda Birthday

Good evening, gosh what alot of snow we have had in Leeds today. My children were ecstatic as they got another day off school, all the immunisations were cancelled due to the school closures and I was the only one who made it into work today !
I made this card before christmas for my daughters boyfriends little sister. I used the Imaginisce Princess papers and Magnolia Tilda is coloured with Copic Markers. The flowers are by Prima with a pearl brad in the centre. The sentiment is by Stampin Up.
Well I hope we are not snowed in tomorrow as more snow is forecast.

I made this card yesterday for my son Jack for christmas, i think after putting the christmas tree and decorations up in the house I had finally caught the christmas card making bug ! I also attatched a small pocket inside the card so that i can put in some money, now my children are getting older wanting a few prezzies AND some money seems to be the teenage way of christmas !
I once again paper pierced the plain cardstock and im certainly getting my money's worth from the SU mat pack and tool, i just can't seem to put it down.

Hello, I just wanted to say THANKYOU to all my blogging friends for their kind words, they were really appreciated. I decided to take my mind off things and make a card. I havent had much time lately and am so tired when i get in from work that im in bed early these days. I love the new Magnolia Christmas stamps they are so cute. A Little Craft Class !

This is my son Jack and his friend Curtis. They pestered me everyday last week to learn them how to make cards. I finally relented and they decided on stamping and colouring. Here is a picture of their finished cards.

They made one card each and Im quite impressed with their cards. They used SU cardstock, SU Cheers to You stamp set, and dotty red ribbon from stash. They didn't hang around to tidy up though !
I did have a card to post but the light got the better of me so i will post it tomorrow. Have a great evening.

I still haven't started my new job yet, getting a little bit fed up of waiting now. Don't seem to get much crafting done either, I seem to spend lots of time washing and ironing though ! I made this card today for my daughter Megan's birthday next month. I just love this little Tilda she is so cute and the stamp is so versatile. I have also made a christmas card using this image too.

Flight Of The Butterfly

This is one of the cards I managed to make whilst my hubby was away at a conference. It felt strange not using my copic markers and not colouring in ! I havent had much time for cardmaking lately and my Magnolia Summer kit hasnt seen ink yet which is unusual as i have been known to ink them as soon as they have dropped through the door. Jules rang me on Wednesday night to tell me my SU order had arrived and these gorgeous stamps were in that order. They are just the yummiest. I did cut the butterflies out by hand though as i wanted a little bit of white around the edge. I havent added a sentiment yet but i think it will be for my Aunties birthday next week.

Anya and Rainbow Sherbet

Gosh I haven't had alot of time for cardmaking this week, ive been wading through the huge pile of washing that we brought back from our holidays. I made this card using an Anya image that i stamped up ages ago. She is coloured using Copic Markers. The papers are my favourite from SU and are now retired :( Good job I orderered extra supplies from Jules. The cardstock is also from SU. The flowers were cut from a papershapers punch and i added a small pearl gem to the centres. The sentiment is also from SU. Just remembered i havent inked any of my new Magnolia summer kit stamps yet, must make some time Im getting itchy fingers.

A Fab Holiday and a Job

I arrived back from my hols on Monday night. Here is a picture of the gorgeous villa I have been staying in in Turkey over the last 2 weeks. We had a fab time and the weather was hot. We spent alot of time cooling off in the pool. I found out whilst i was on hols that i got a 2:2 for my degree classification, I was so chuffed as I didnt expect such a great result. Whilst I was on holiday i also recieved an e-mail inviting me for an interview for a job I had applied for. I had my interview on Tuesday morning and i recieved a phone call Tues evening to say I GOT THE JOB.
Im really excited im going to be a school immunisation nurse giving the new HPV vaccine to girls aged 15-18.
No card for today as Im still washing and unpacking suitcases ! Hopefully I will have a card ready for the weekend.

A New Baby Girl Card

Good morning, hope you are all enjoying your weekend. Its my last week of my hospital placement this week, I have been there 16weeks now and will miss going. Still no job due to the current job freeze in the hospitals in Leeds which is a little disheartening :( but hopefully the freeze will soon be lifted. Fingers crossed : )
I made this new baby girl card for a nurse i have been working with who goes on maternity leave the same day i leave. The image is from Penny Black and is coloured using Copic Markers. The papera are SU 'Sweet Always'. The large circle and scallop are from Nestabillities and cut using my Cuttlebug. The flowers are cut with a retro flower punch and i added a small candy dot from Pebbles Inc. The sentiment is from the SU set ' Congrats' and the scallops are Su oval punches.

I made this card ages ago and forgot all about it. The image is from Magnolia and she is coloured using copic markers. The papers are by Stampin Up and the cardstock is also by SU. I added some stitching with my sewing machine, I still need some practice it feels really strange sewing on card. The flowers are by Prima and I added a spacer and small brad. The sentiment is from the Oval all SU stamp set and is mounted on a SU scallop.

Surfer Edwin and a Little Space of my Own

Hi everyone, hope your all having a good week. I have been off placement this week and its been lovely to spend some time at home with Megan and Jack. Tomorrow we are going to Scarborough and Whitby on a daytrip. This is what inspired me to make this card with the Magnolia Summer kit stamps. He is Surfer Edwin and is coloured using Copic Markers. The papers are from the Basic Grey 'Lime Rickey' collection. The colours are so bright and cheery. I used SU cardstock for matting and layering and the sentiment is also SU. The flowers are my favourite Prima Hydrangea's with a little spacer from my friend Nikki's online shop(there is a link on my sidebar) and I added a little Papermania brad.

A big THANKYOU to everyone who left me lovely comments about my graduation, and to celebrate I am putting together a celebratory blogcandy which i will post details within the next few weeks.

My hubby finally finished my loft which I have hijacked as a crafting room here is a picture

Its empty at the moment I am in the process of packing all my stash (which is taking up the dining table) into boxes so i can transfer it upstairs. Its only a small space but ITS ALL MINE ! The other half of the room is for the computer but im sure in time I will claim it.

Strawberry Tilda and Fab News !

OMG I have just found out I have passed my degree with Honours, Im so happy I cried. Im in total shock ! I have only 4 weeks and I will be a registered nurse ! Gosh.
Anyway I made this card for my friend Diane who helped me with my job application this week. Thanks Hun. The image is from the new Magnolia Summer Collection and is 'Strawberry Tilda' I coloured her with my copic markers. The papers are by Bo Bunny. I used my favourite oval scallop punch and oval sentiment by SU. The flowers are cut from the papers and layered.

Tilda with Bathing Ring

Good Morning, its a lovely sunny day here in Leeds today. I made another card using the Magnolia Summer kit. I masked Tilda onto the bathing ring and coloured the images using my Copic Markers. The papers are by Bo Bunny and are called 'Alissa'. The papers are gorgeous and are very girly. I used a Nestie for mounting the image. The flowers are by Prima and I added a spacer and a small brad. The sentiment is my favourite at the moment and is by SU. The oval scallop is from a punch also by SU.

Edwin and Lizard

Good evening hope your all well. This weekend was our student ball at one of the hotels in Leeds. I had a really good time, but boy did I have a cracking hangover yesterday. It took me until 8pm last night to feel almost human again. I know self inflicted as my hubby says -no sympathy there !
Anyway i have made this card for my son Jack who will be celebrating his 12th birthday tomorrow (gosh where does time go ?). The image is Edwin with lizard and he is coloured using Copic Markers. The papers are by Prima Marketing and are from the 'Dude Collection'. I layered the image onto SU cardstock. The buttons and star are chipboard and are also by Prima. The sentiment is computer generated as I wanted to make it personal.

Strawberries and Tilda

Good morning, its a lovely sunny day here in Leeds. I used my new Summer Magnolia kit to make this card. I masked the image using the SU stamp-a-ma-jig (thanks for the tutorial Vicky).
The cute Tilda is coloured using Copic Markers. The papers are from the Doodlebug 'Strawberry Parfait' Collection (these new papers are delicious) and mounted using SU green galore and pink passion cardstock. The flowers are from Prima and i added a spacer and small brad to the centre. I also added some small white pearls to the centres of the small flowers on the image. The sentiment is from SU and is my favourite at the moment, the oval scallop is from a punch and is also available from SU.

Bloom and Grow Daisy Tilda

Well no blogging for ages and then two cards in two days ! I made this card yesterday (and got no housework done). The image is from the new Summer Magnolia Kit. I just adore the stamps in this kit I love everyone of them. I coloured Tilda with Copic Markers and even managed to use the blending tecnique I learnt at one of Maddies workshops.The papers are from MME 'Bloom & Grow' 6x6 cardstock and are so pretty. One sentiment is from the Summer kit and the other is from the oval set by SU. The flowers are cut from a papershapers retro punch, I like these flowers and they look pretty if you curl them in slightly.
Well best get some chores done and may even try to make another card later !

Ice Cream Tilda's Sweet Treat

My Magnolia Summer kit arrived yesterday while I was at work, also my Doodlebug 'Sweet treats' papers arrived too. So I combined them to make this card. I just could'nt wait !
I love this Tilda with ice-cream she reminds me of Megan when she was little. I coloured her with Copic Markers. I used the new Doodlebug 'Sweet Treats' papers. The new range of papers from Doodlebug are divine. I also used the sentiment from the Summer collection. The cardstock is from Doodlebug and so are the cardstock stickers. The scallop and circle are cut from SU punches.
I also decorated inside the card, here it is :

But then I decided to use my new personalised stamp and added a little decoration to the back,

Rainbow Sherbet Anya

I just wanted to say a big sorry for the lack of blogging lately. I have had an enormous amount of work to do for University over the last month. I finally finished it all and it is all handed in YIPPEE so i can now get back to crafting an visiting all your blogs.
I made this card yesterday the image is an Anya, I love this one she reminds me of my daughter megan. She is coloured using copic markers. The papers are Rainbow Sherbet by SU and i bought them from the lovely Jules. I love the vibrant colours. The flowers are cut from a papershapers punch and i added a gemstone and a SU button. The sentiment is from the Sincere Salutations stamp set from SU.

What a Laugh !

Good morning hope your all well. The sun is shining here in Leeds, looks like its going to be a gorgeous day.
I went to Julies SU workshop on Saturday and here is one of the cards we made in the male cards class. Julie spoils us with yummy home made muffins and this week she made a huge coffee and walnut cake. It was a great day and I had a great time with Vicky.
Boy did we laugh, we made 3 cards. I made a shirt shaped card which ended up looking extremely creased and had a lop sided tie ! ! This card was made using SU Rainbow Sherbert papers and the Cheers to You stamp set. The circles and scallops are also cut from SU punches. The card stock is Tempting Turquiose and Green galore.
I may have a lack of posts over the next few weeks as i have my final dissertation to do for my degree, so not much time for crafting. I will however try to visit your blogs as often as i can.

I made this card for my friend Diane at Uni. I used the Magnolia 'Girl with bunch of flowers' stamp and colored her with copic markers. The papers are by Doodlebug. I used some white lace and ribbon which were bought at Hobbycraft. The flowers are cut from Papershapers punches. The oval scallop and sentiment are by Stampin Up. The little pearls i added are from Papermania.

Magnolia Baby Boy Card

Gosh it seems ages since my last post. I made this card for a friend who is expecting her first baby and she found out yesterday that 'its a boy'. The image is by Magnolia and is coloured using copic markers. The papers are by SU. The card is also by SU and is called bashful blue. I mounted the image onto a scallop cut from a nestabilities and added some pearls. The sentiment is from SU and mounted onto a scallop, the ribbon also is SU. I added some Prima flowers with a spacer and a bashful blue brad and also little bootee charm attached to a chain.

Well Im going to the 'Take That' concert tomorrow night in Sunderland with Megan and my sister in law , im so excited !

Hanglar and Latte

Good morning, hope you are having a great week. I havent done much crafting this week as its half term and i have no time off. I managed to chill out last night and make a card.
The image is by Hanglar and coloured with Copic Markers. The papers are from the delicious DCWV 'Latte' Matstack. These papers are gorgeous and the quality is fab. I used an SU punch to make the scallop border. The ribbon is from Hobbycraft. The flowers are hydrangeas by Prima. I added a spacer and brad and then decorated the flower with some leaves cut from an L-Em punch. I have yet to add a sentiment as im not sure what occasion i will use this card for .

I also decorated the inside to co-ordinate with the front of the card, using the same papers.

Copics Workshop with Maddy and Rachel

I had a fabulous time yesterday at the copics workshop in Leeds with Maddy and Rachel. I met some wonderful new friends, and learnt how to colour and shade using copics. Maddy is a great teacher. Above are the images we coloured at various stages of colouring/shading.

We had a lovely lunch with a very large piece of chocolate cake ! The hints and tips were very helpful and I even met a superstar !

Yes you guessed it, Calvin the mouse was hiding amongst the crafting goodies. He is sooooo cute.

Here is my finished card i was very pleased with the finished result.

Yet another Anya

Gosh I just had to ink up another Anya. These stamps are fab and great for teenage birthday cards. The Anya is coloured using Copic Markers. The papers are Basic Grey ' Marrakech and are very vibrant. I added a brad and spacer to the Prima flowers and then attached some chain and a little silver shoe charm. The birthday sentiment is by SU. Sorry its a short post but the 10hr shifts are taking their toll, it must be my age ha ha !

Bloom and Grow Tilda

Well I survived my 1st 10hr shift in the operating theatre and I have to say I loved it. My feet ache at the moment and feel like they dont belong to me, but I cant wait to get back tomorrow.

Anya Goes Shopping

My daughter Megan asked me to make a card for her best friend Amy. So we sat down with all my stamps and papers. One hour later she chose an Anya stamp, im glad really as these gorgeous girls have yet to see ink. The papers are 'Sweet Always' by SU. I mounted the paper on to some chocolate chip SU cardstock. Anya is coloured using copic markers. The grosgrain ribbon was bought at my local craft store along with the handbag charm. The flowers were cut from a Papershapers punch and I added a white Papermania adhesive pearl to the centres. The sentiment is by SU. This is the inside

I just love decorating the inside of my cards. It uses up all the scraps (that i would normally save and do nothing with !) and it makes it a little bit more special than opening up a blank card. Well have to go pack as we are going to Lincoln for the weekend.

Hope you all had a fantastic bank holiday. We didnt go anywhere so I took the oportunity to make a few cards. This card was made with a Magnolia stamp from the spring kit. She is coloured with Copic markers. The papers are MME ' Bloom and Grow. I love these papers they are so fresh and the colours are stunning. The large flower is from the MME diecut sheet. The sentiment is by SU. I added a chain and a watering can charm to the flower and a Papermania brad to the centre. I also decorated the inside with matching paper and flower.

The sentiment inside is also by Magnolia. Thankyou for looking. Have a great evening.

Tilda With Lots Of Puppies

Good morning and I hope your enjoying your weekend whatever your up to. This card was made for a friend who has just bought two adorable puppies. The stamp is Magnolia 'Tilda with Puppy' and I used a background stamp also by Magnolia. I stamped the image several times and cut out the extra puppies and coloured them in different shades of browns. The whole image is coloured with copic markers. The papers are from the Bo Bunny 'Sweetie Pie' collection. These papers are gorgeous and I love the pink/green combination. The flower is a Prima hydrangea and I added a spacer from Hobby House and a papermania brad. I added a puppy charm attached to a chain and jump ring that was purchased from Hobbycraft . The leaves were punched from a L-Em punch.

The sentiment is computer generated and the 'Puppy love' sentiment is mounted onto an oval cut from a SU oval punch. As I have been so inspired by many of you that decorate inside your cards I decided to give it a try and heres the result

I really enjoyed decorating the inside using all the scraps and will now decorate inside all the cards I make.

Guitar Hanglar Boy

This card I made for my son Jack for his birthday. Its not while July, but Im back on my hospital placement on the 11th May (Im spending 16wks in the operating theatre, Im so excited !) so Im frantically trying to get as many cards done before then. The image is by Hanglar and was an extra I had left from a previous project they were sent to me by the very kind and talented Caz.
I coloured the image using copic markers and I seem to be getting the hang of blending the different shades and Im pleased with the result on this card. I tried to give the image a distressed look using Tim Holtz distress ink as the background was too white for the papers. I also added the ink to the sentiment as this was white too.The papers are from the Crate Paper ' Static Collection' and I also used Static Collection die cut shapes. The scallop oval and the oval punch are by SU. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

Mum's Hanglar Card

We had a fantastic time in Portugal (despite some very rainy weather) and i feel quite relaxed and chilled out. I finally got round to making a card today, I made this card for my mum who celebrates her birthday on the 7th May. The image is by Hanglar and is coloured using copic markers (and i managed to do some blending). The papers are from the 7 Gypsies 'Savannah' Collection. I used some Prima flowers and decorated them with some spacers from the Hobby House.
They have a fantastic range of spacers and charms available. I followed Bev's tutorial and decorated the card with a chain and a charm and I love the way this adds extra bling. The circle sentiment is from the 'In Circles' range from Craftwork Cards.
The mum sentiment is a Woodware stamp. I also used an SU scallop and circle punch.

Sweet Hanglar Girl

Gosh Ive had a busy week. I have just got my results back for my last two assignments and I got passes for both of them, so Im a very happy bunny. The results also mean I have passed all my academic work for the last three years without any re-sits or re-submissions which is quite an achievement as im not a very academic person.
The image for this card is by Hanglar and she is coloured with copic markers. I added some Sakura stardust pen to the wings for added sparkle. The papers are from a DCWV paper pad called 'Nanna's Nursery' in girly colours. The flowers are by Prima (I just love these flowers) I added a small pearlised brad and a spacer to the centre. The charm was bought from e-bay. I used a Martha Stewart heart punch and a Paper shapers punch to add some decoration.

I will be having a blogging break for two weeks as my husband has booked a surprise holiday to Portugal (not a surprise now) over the easter holidays. He said it was a break for all my hard work over the last year and for nearly completing my nurse training -awwwh bless him. Megan and Jack are ecstatic and packing as I blog. I will visit you all when I get back.

I made this card for my friend at Uni for her daughter's birthday, she adores puppy's so I chose this Magnolia 'Tilda with Puppy ' image, I thought it was perfect. The steps are also a Magnolia stamp. I coloured Tilda with Copic Markers. The papers are Imaginise 'Fairest of them all'. I added some Prima flowers and decorated them with a spacer, brad and a silver charm. The flourish is from a punch by EK Sucess. I haven't added the daughter sentiment yet as I am waiting for some new stamps to arrive.

Apologies for my lack of recent postings as the work for Uni has been manic these last few weeks. Well I have got the results back from all my exams and Im still on a high as I Passed ! Totally shocked, I think Its my age lol. Still got 3 grades from 3 essays to come yet though but fingers crossed.

'Gorguss Girl'

It was no good I just had to leave my assignment last night and make a card with my new stamps. Ive been staring at them for days and the temptation proved too much. She is one of the new 'Gorguss Girls' from Sugar Nellie. I coloured her using my Copic markers. I used my favourite papers from K & Co they are 'Wild Saffron'. The flower is by Prima and I added some Stickle in Stardust to the petals and a spacer and brad to the centre. The charm is from my stash. I havent added any sentiment as Im not sure what I will use the card for yet.

On friday I got the results of my final exams and I PASSED. Then when i got home from Uni my husband booked a weekend away to celebrate as I have been a little stressed lately. Today I arrived home and on the mat was an envelope which when opened contained this gorgeous card and some Hanglar images from a very kind lady called Caz

Spiced Edwin

I managed to make a card in between my assignments. I used a Magnolia Edwin Image (cant remember what he's called) and coloured him using Copic Markers. The papers are Stamping Up 'Spiced Cider' and are layered using PaperMania Cardstock. The ribbon was bought from my local craft shop. I cut the scallop from an SU punch and the circle is cut from a woodware punch. The birthday sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

I was so excited today my Sugar Nellie 'Gorguss Girls' arrived. I was gutted that i didnt manage to get any when they were availiable to pre-order, but by chance i was on the website on Monday evening and they had a few more up for grabs and they are just divine. Cant wait to get inking, but have to get my Uni work completed first.

Chocolate Cutie

We finally got our loft all finished and carpeted today. Its a bit late as it was going to be my study. As I have only 6months to go my husband said I can have it as my craft room instead. YIPPEE I have a craft room Im so excited ive been to Ikea today to buy things for storage.
Anyway while I was sorting through boxes I came across these photographs of my son Jack when he was a year old. I had been to Asda and sat him in his highchair with a bourbon biscuit whilst i emptied the shopping bags and put it in the cupboards. When i turned around this is how he looked, bless he was so excited ! I couldnt resist and had to scrapbook the pics to put in his album. The Papers, ribbon, buttons and other embellishments are all by Doodlebug. I also used some Bazzill Basics cardstock.

Tilda and Muffin

I love this 'Tilda with Muffin' stamp it has to be amongst my favourites. I coloured her with copic markers and added stardust stickle to the wings. The papers are DCVW ' The Sweet Stack'. The sticker is also from the sweet collection. I used a Martha Stewart Punch for the love heart trim.

Anniversary Card for Mum and Dad

Well Im pleased that I passed my exam and I apologise profusely for being a terrible blogger lately. I will try and visit your blogs as often as I can and leave a little comment.
My Mum and Dad will be celebrating their 41st Wedding Anniversay soon so I made them this card based on the colours of my mum and dads wedding outfits and the red is the colour worn by their bridesmaids. I used an Hanglar image and coloured it with Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer watercolour pencils and blended with sansador using paper stumps. The cardstock is Bazzill Basics in red. I used red mulberry flowers to decorate the heart. I purchased the fantastic Martha Stewart Valentine Lace Punch from a lady on Ebay in America. It is just the most gorgeous punch and I feel quite lucky to own one. The anniversary stamp comes in a pack by woodware.

Husbands Valentines Card

Many apologies for being a bad blogger recently, I have alot of work to do for university at the moment as its my last year (I qualify in August, Scary !) and the assignment and exams are all I seem to be doing at the moment. Good news is I passed the latest assignment I handed in and exam results for the first lot are due next week.
I had a day off so I decided to make my wonderful husband a valentines card. I used the Magnolia 'Charmer Edwin' stamp and the sentiment stamp is also by Magnolia. The papers are the new Basic Grey 'Bittersweet'. I also used two Prima flowers with a spacer and brad to decorate. I wasn't sure about a flower on a mans card but it just needed something as it looked too bare.

Valentines Wishes

I just love these new stamps by Magnolia. I made this card for my son Jack to give to a girl he likes in his class at school (bless). I used a Magnolia stamp for the image and the sentiment. The Tilda is coloured using my copic markers. The image was matted and layered using Bazzill cardstock. The papers are from the K & CO Brenda Walton 'Sweet Talk Collection'. The flowers are by Prima and i used some mulberry flowers to decorate the centre's.

Valentine Magnolia

Ive finally got my 1st assignment and my first exam over and done (fingers crossed for a pass) so I made this card at the weekend. I used the Basic Grey 'Bittersweet' papers, and the Bittersweet elements stickers, these are just divine. The image is by Magnolia and is called ' Love Tilda'. The sentiment is also by Magnolia. I coloured the image with my copic markers. The ribbon is grosgrain and was bought at Hobbycraft. Thanks Jules and Diane for showing me how to make a really neat bow.

Hanglar 1st Birthday

I finally had the chance to make a card, i handed in the first of my assignments and have another exam on Thursday so im busy revising yet again. I made this card for my freind Nikki at university whose grandson celebrates his first birthday this month. (Happy Birthday Harry). The image is by Hanglar which was sent to me by my wonderful friend Nikki (Thanks Hun x ).
I coloured the image using copic markers. The papers are from the Basic Grey 'Boxer' Collection. i used a Prima flower with a brad and flower spacer to decorate my card. The sentiment was made on my computer. The flourish is by Sizzix and was cut on my cuttlebug.

Magnolia Baby Boy

Firstly I must apologise for the lack of postings, I have lots of work at University at the moment and I have exams in a few weeks so I am busy revising. I will try to post and visit all your blogs as often as I can.
I made this card using the Magnolia stamp 'Tilda with Baby Tingla'. I coloured the image using my copic markers. The papers are DCWV 'Nursery Collection Boy' and I also used some Coredinations for the matting and layering. The flowers are by Prima with a spacer and a small brad. I cut the scallop using a Nestabilities die on my Cuttlebug. I cant remember who the sentiment is by. I also used Liquid Pearls to decorate the scallop.

Happy New Year

I would just like to wish all my blogging friends a HAPPY NEW YEAR and thank everyone who has visited and left me some wonderful comments over the last few months, your comments mean alot. Ive had a dreadful cold over the christmas period and am now starting to feel a little more human again. I decided to cheer myself up and make a card, I just love the Hanglar images and huge thanks to Nikki and Heidi for sending me some gorgeous images.
I coloured the Hanglar image using my Copic Markers. The papers are Imaginice 'Fairest Of Them All' and I used Bazzill Cardstock to matt the image onto. The birthday sentiment is by Stamps Away and the daughter sentiment is by Woodware. The flowers are from the Prima range. I added a silver beadcap with a small brad to the centre. The flourish was cut using my Cuttlebug using a Sizzix die.

Hanglar Mother's Day Card

I made this card today with some of the crafting goodies I recieved for christmas (Believe me I got lots). The image is by Hanglar and was sent to me by my wonderful friend Nikki (Thanks Hun).
I coloured the image using copic markers. The papers are from the Basic Grey 'Stella Ruby' collection. I used Bazzill cardstock for matting and layering and sewed around the outer edges with my sewing machine. The flowers are Prima Hydrangea's and I added some stickle glitter to the outer edges for a bit of bling. The small button is by Doodlebug. The sentiment is by Woodware and is matted onto a scallop and circle that were cut from a punch. I added some holes to the scallop using a Japanese screw punch.

Christmas Clock

I decided to make another Christmas clock today (my last one got damaged). I used 2 large chipboard snowflakes which are sandwiched together. The chipboard numbers are painted with an Adirondack Acrylic Dabberin gold and then I applied some Anita's 3-D clear gloss. The papers are from the 'Plum Pudding' Collection. The snowflakes were already pre-cut. I used a small bauble attatched to the minute hand. All materials were purchased from Craftwork Cards.

Now going to do some last minute Christmas shopping (think ive gone mad).

Yet another Magnolia Xmas Card.

Well what a tiring weekend (it must be my age, ha ha!) I spent the whole weekend at Bridlington with my family enjoying my birthday celebrations. There were 13 of us all together and it was fantastic.I wont be posting after tomorrow until Saturday as im going to Dublin with some of the girls on my University course for my birthday.
This is a card made using a Magnolia stamp. The image is coloured using copic markers, i added some Sakura clear stardust pen to her wings. The papers are Basic Grey 'Figgy Pudding' and i used some Bazzill Basics cardstock for matting and layering the image. The snowflakes are Sizzix and i cut them using my cuttlebug machine and added a pearlescent brad to the centre. The seal sentiment is from Catslife Press. I added some Papermania gems for extra bling.

Cosy Hanglar Christmas

Hope your all having a good weekend. I have made this card for my Mother and Father in-law for christmas. I used an Hanglar and Stanglar image sent to me by my wonderful friend Nikki (thanks hun). I coloured the image using my new copic markers. I added some Deco- Art glamour dust to the white bits on the hat. The papers are from the Basic Grey 'Figgy Pudding ' Collection. The flourish was cut on my cuttlebug using a Sizzix die. The flower is from a Prima bauble and I added a plain red brad to the centre.

Standing Fall Tilda and Magenta

Brrrr it's cold and snowy here in Leeds this morning. I have the children off school as it is closed due to the bad weather. They are ecstatic and im grumpy! Anyway after fighting them off the laptop I can finally post my card.
This is still one of my favourite stamps at the moment. She is 'Standing Fall Tilda'. I have coloured her using my Copic Markers. The papers are from the 'Magenta Pleasures Collection'. I have matted and layered using Core-dinations cardstock. The flowers are by Prima and I used a Papermania decorative brad for the centre. I have added no sentiment as it will be added to my stash of sentiment later cards.

Hanglar Meets High School Musical

I was asked by my friend at university if i could make a card for her 8year old daughters birthday. I was told she is not a girly girl but loves High School Musical. Here is the card I made.
I used a Hanglar image that was sent to me by Heidi (Thanks Heidi). I coloured the image with my new copics (bought for me as an early birthday present from my wonderful hubby). The paper is gift wrapping paper from Clintons. I made a 6x6 card but sealed it to make it look like a record sleeve. I used a stardust stickle to add some sparkle around the coloured card.I covered a blank CD with black Bazzill card and cut a smaller circle for the inner part. I used black stickles around the outer edge. The stampin the middle is by Catslife press. The sentiment was created on my computer.

Joy at Christmas

Gosh Ive managed to make a christmas card with no Magnolia or Hanglar image (It wasn't easy We made cards like these at a craft class I attended last year. The papers are 'Plum Pudding' and I edged them with a gold stickle. The frame is chipboard and I painted it with a Airondack metallic gold dabber and added Papermania silver gemstones. I covered the chipboard alphabet with co-ordinating papers and again edged them with gold stickles. The sentiment bauble is by Craftwork Cards.The ribbon is from Hobbicrafts. I decided to have a break yesterday from making christmas cards and make some any occasion cards. My stash of blank cards is down to 2 and I like to have some spares as a 'just in case'. A Hanglar Card for Mum and Dad

I made this card yesterday and Im going to give it to my mum and dad for christmas. I need to find a sentiment with mum and dad on, this is my mission for this week. Tilda in Dalecarlia coat

I adore this little Magnolia 'Tilda in Dalecarlia Coat' and will use her for making cards after christmas. I used distress inks to colour her. I have never used this technique before so I thought I would 'give it a go ! (I think I applied it too thick and perhaps should have shaded more) But I will definately try again. The papers are Imaginisce 'Snowy Jo'. I used Bazzill basics card for matting and layering. To embellish my card I used a Prima flower and leaves which were in a bauble, and some red 'merry christmas' organza. The sentiment is by Magnolia. This morning I sewed around part of the card on my new sewing machine. It was really strange sewing on card but I will use more sewing on my cards as the effect looks great.

'Swell Noel'

Black and Pink Christmas

I wasn't too sure about these papers when I first bought them a few months ago, they didn't look very christmassy but they seem to be growing on me. They are DCWV -The Christmas Multistack - 'Rose Tinted Christmas'. The Stamp is from the Magnolia Fall Collection she is called 'Standing Fall Tilda'. She is coloured using ProMarkers. The flowers are from Poppicrafts
and the brad in the centre is by Queen and Co. The sentiment is by Crafts Away and I mounted it onto a scallop cut from a punch using co-ordinated paper.
I have been inspired by lots of your cards using a sewing machine, I got a surprise yesterday as my mum has bought me one for my forthcoming birthday (oh hum). She gave me it early (yesterday) so Im going to give it a try at the weekend. I will let you know how I get on.

Winter Tilda

Gosh Im getting later with my posts, nursing hours and crafting don't seem to work ! I made this card for Megan for her best friend at school. Its similar to the one I did earlier in the week. The Tilda is from the new Magnolia Winter Collection. These stamps are gorgeous. The paper is from the Dovecraft and is called 'Winter Wonderland'. I mounted the Tilda with 3d foam onto a large snowflake. The small snowflakes were cut from a woodware punch and I added some blue heart adhesive gems to the centres. I used Deco-Art Crystal Glamour to the fur around her coat to make it sparkle.The sentiment stamp was made for me by my friends husband.

Magnolia Winter Collection Card 2

Last night I made another card using the Magnolia Winter Club Kit. This boy and girl look soooo cute together. I coloured the image with my ProMarkers and added Deco-Art glamour dust to all the white bits (It never shows up on the pictures) I used the Basic Grey 'Wassail' papers which are my favourite christmas papers at the moment. I added some extras using the Basic Grey 'Wassail' elements stickers. The 'Merry Christmas Ticket' is also a Magnolia Stamp.

Magnolia Winter Collection 1st Card

I couldn't wait any longer and just had to make a card with the new Magnolia Winter Collection of stamps. This Tilda is looks gorgeous in her winter coat. I coloured her using ProMarkers and used Deco-Art crystal glamour dust around the fur bits on her coat. I decided to use a shaped card for a change. This one is a Wellie card availiable from Craftwork Cards. The papers are from the Dovecraft 'Winter Wonderland' Collection. I cut out some white glitter card and added it to the bottom of the wellie and added some marabou fluff around the top for a snowy look. The white snowflake is also from craftwork cards (from last year).
Will be making some more cards tonight the stamps are just divine.

Scrumptious Papers

Yesterday I whilst out shopping I bought this yummy scrumptious DCWV 6x6 paper stack. Its called 'The Sweet Stack' and has a mixture of glittered and non glittered papers centered around cakes and sweets. I couldn't wait to get home and make a card. For this card i used the Magnolia 'Tilda in pink tights' and coloured her with a mixture of ProMarkers and Albrecht Durer watercolour pencils. I used a lace border punch, circle punch and a scallop punch.
The flowers are by Prima and the pearlescent brads in the centre are by papermania. The sentiment is one of my favourites from Craftwork Cards.

Dads Birthday Cheer

Im making the most of my spare time off work at the moment so I decided to make a card for my dad who will be celebrating his birthday next week (I modelled Edwin on my dad !). I find it really difficult when it comes to mens cards, so I opted a less is more approach. I used the Magnolia 'Bartender Edwin' stamp and coloured the image using ProMarkers. The papers are from the Basic Grey 'Ambrosia' Collection. The organza ribbon I purchased from my local Hobbycraft store. The letter stickers are mini shimmer alpha's by Making Memories. I used a sentiment called 'In Circles - birthday messages' from Craftwork Cards. I love these circle sentiments and they can be easily matted onto large circles and scallop circles.
Well I best make the most of today, back to making more cards.

My daughter Megan will be 15yrs old on the 16th November (gosh time flies) so Ive made this card for her. Her favourite colour at the moment is turquoise/teal green so i thought these papers were just perfect. The image is from the Magnolia Autumn Collection and is called 'Tilda with Sunflower'. I coloured her using 'Albrecht Durer Watercolour Pencils' and blended the colour using Sansador and paper stumps. The papers are K & CO 'Wild Saffron' and I also used coredinations cardstock. I cut a butterfly from the paper and mounted it onto foam pads to make it stand off the page. The adhesive ribbon and the chipboard 'sweetie' are also from the 'Wild Saffron' Collection. The sentiment was created on my computer.

Sowing Seeds for Mothers Day

I decided to leave christmas cards today and made this card for my mum for Mothers Day. I coloured the Hanglar image using Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer watercolour pencils. I blended the colour using Sansador and paper stumps. The papers are K & Co 'Wild Saffron'. I love this collection of papers they are so bright and colourful. I used one of the gorgeous fabric brads which belongs to the 'Wild Saffron Collection' they are so detailed. The bloom sentiment is from the Wild Saffron tag pad.

Wrapped Wishes

I think this 'Tilda in Dalecarlia coat' stamp has to be amongst my favourite stamps at the moment, she is just sooooo cute. I used the Daisy Bucket 'Wrapped Wishes' papers to make this card. I coloured Tilda with my ProMarkers. I mounted the image onto Bazzill Basics card and rounded the edges with a corner punch. The flowers are from Prima and the pearlescent brads are by Papermania. I cut the small scallop and circle from punches and the round christmas sentiment is by Craftwork Cards.

Girl in pink and lilac

Gosh what a busy day ive had. I started my placement at my local hospital today and my shift began at 7am I thought I had better post my card before i fall asleep ! For this card I used a Hanglar image (Thanks Nikki ) and coloured her using ProMarkers. The papers are from the 'Daisy D's' Maybe Baby Collection. I used a sakura clear gel pen to add some sparkle to the wings. The flowers are by Prima and I added some Papermania spotty brads to the centre. The pink rik-rak is from my stash. I haven't added a sentiment yet, but I think I may send it to my daughter Megan for her birthday as she loves pink and lilac.
